This morning we left Princess Harbour around 8 am to head up to Ladysmith on Vancouver island. It took us about 3 hours to get through the Stuart Channel and up into Ladysmith Harbour. We were lucky to get reciprocal moorage at the Ladysmith yacht club. Water, power and it only cost $5 per day.
Today is Canada Day so the yacht club had a potluck and they were kind enough to invite us to join them. What fun!
Ben and I walked up town to explore the town, exchanged some money at the bank, got a few supplies and checked out the local stores.
They do a lot of logging here. The bays are full of logs. Been awhile since I've seen that. We are staying here until Sunday then heading up to Nanaimo. I love this pace... Nice and slow. It's driving Ben nuts. Bahaha. He wants to just go go go.
